Version 1.28 Released! - Shadow Improvements


Conciding with the release of my new mod for Shadow the Hedgeog in Sonic 3 Air, Sonic 3D in 2D gets a new update! As our favourite faker can now blast his way through Angel Island with his broken moveset, he got a few fixes and small improvements here as too, along with some more general fixes for the game as well.


Changelog:

- Re-centered the homing attack target to all smoke emitting badniks (Mantis, Crocks, Spike Motobugs) that ended misplaced in 1.27.

- Fixed Shadow's controls to be able to correctly jump while boosting is held with the C button.

- Fixed Shadow's controls to be able to air dash with C after a jump boost and B released instead of dropping down.

- Changed the lock-on sound of the homing target to play near the end of the lock-on animation, to better match the exact moment it effectively locks on

- Fixed the ability to trigger an incomplete bubble jump action on fans.

- Improved controls to disable ambient sound on death and before a level restart, to hopefully catch some remaining cases where the ambient sounds would stay stuck forever.

- Further optimized the main menu of the game, as slowdowns persisted on some systems. Unfortunately programs with OBS Studio still cause slowdowns when capturing the main menu...

- Changed some load order actions to possibly solve an issue with the custom music playing in the story intro for the game.

Special Thanks to ggk912 for reporting the following bug:

- Added an additional control when starting a new game in the same game session to ensure that the emerald value is properly set and prevent a weird/broken emerald acquisition order.
